Dr. Brad Bushman grew up in a small town, Dixon Illinois. When growing up his father started his own business in construction and from the time Dr. Bushman was 8 years old and able to handle tools until about 26 years old he would help his father.
"Through the years I saw what this hard labor did to his body, and started to do to mine. By the time I was 19 and on scholarship to Sauk Valley Community College for cross country my body decided it couldn’t handle it. I became very Ill and began to be unable to process food. As this continued for many months I began to undergo numerous tests. The tests were inconclusive and I was given numerous diagnoses, none of which ended in the cure of my problems. I gave up the medicine and running. At this time I figured that my problem was something that I would have to deal with. The chiropractor my parents were seeing finally convinced them and me that I should give that a try. He then did some X-rays and showed me where all of my problems had started from. So I started care and within 3 weeks I was feeling better than I knew I could. After all of this I decided that was what I wanted to do. I wanted to be a chiropractor. So before my mom realized it, I was on my way to chiropractic school at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport Iowa. A few years and many long hours of study later I graduated."
Dr. Brad Bushman has worked in a few different chiropractic offices.
"This gave me the opportunity to see how different methods work in an office setting. I opened my own office in March 2006 in an office space that was previously used as a doctor office. In November 2006 we moved our office to a new location. This space was used as a hair salon and tanning salon. I have done all the renovations and construction with the help of my father and some friends. The office has been open during the construction and patients have enjoyed seeing the changes. Most are surprised that the “doctor” is able to do construction work and that it looks good."

Well, when I was pregnant for my children I had no idea about chiropractors. I just knew when you had an issue you called your OB-Gyn and he/she would tell me what to do. No one informed me that chiropractic could and would help me with my morning sickness, my severe back pain, sleepiness, and feeling drained, and throwing up all the time. I was hospitalized more than I was home because I threw up constantly and got dehydrated. I feel that if more women who are pregnant knew that going to a chiropractor would help with all of these symptoms, then I would have started going when I was pregnant with my first pregnancy.
