BREAST CANCER SURVIVOR:

I am a breast cancer survivor of 3 years, 10 months. I have had a problem with fluid build up in the original tumor site. This fluid has been drained 9 times. I had a channel in my breast to heal from the inside out, to hopefully stop the fluid from building in the original tumor site. No matter what we did the fluid came back. I was in a lot of pain, living and functioning on pain pills every 4 hours. No one could give me any answers as to why I was in so much pain. Not University of Michigan, not my family doctor, oncologist or radiologist. It was very frustrating to be in all the pain and not know why. To say I was not living my life to the fullest is putting it mildly. I couldn’t play with my grandchildren without being in severe pain. Forget picking them up and holding them. Just recently the pain clinic wouldn’t see me as a patient or try to help with the breast pain because I had too many procedures done to the breast. Dr. Bushman said lets take some films. In these films Dr. Bushman found that I had 3 ribs displaced! He told me I’m going to hurt you when I put the ribs back in place. At this point I didn’t care; it was going to get better. FINALLY an answer and solution. Dr. Bushman has been working on adjusting and putting the ribs back in place. I’m thrilled to say the breast pain is gone completely. I had a follow up ultrasound done today to check the fluid and it is gone! In January I had a MRI and the fluid was still there. The only thing I have done different is put the ribs back in place.
